The typical cosine function is y = A cos ( B x - C ) + D
Given : y = 3 cos ( x - π ) - 2
A = 3 , B = 1 , C = π , D = - 2
Amplitude = | A | = 3
Period = 2 π | B | = 2 π 1 = 2 π
Phase Shift = - C B = - π 1 = - π , π to the LEFT
Vertical Shift = D = - 2
graph{3 cos (x - pi) - 2 [-10, 10, -5, 5]}
