sin θ = opposite hypotenuse
Side=a, so a 2 + 1 2 = 4 2
a 2 + 1 = 16
a 2 = 15
a = 15
sec θ = 1 cos θ = 1 adjacent hypotenuse = hypotenuse adjacent
tan θ = sin θ cos θ = opposite hypotenuse adjacent hypotenuse = opposite adjacent
sec θ = 4 15 = 4 15 15
tan θ = 1 15 = 15 15
We are in quadrant II, so
sec θ = - 4 15 15
tan θ = - 15 15
