The magnitude of a vector can be calculated by the following steps:-
Put the vectors on a cartesian plane to represent them. Let the vectors be 3 and - 5
Draw the horizontal and vertical components of the two vectors to create a right-angled triangle, which will then be used to create a vector triangle.
Now using the Pythagorean theorem find the unknown quantity.
Simply put, magnitude is the product of the two provided vectors' moduli.
i.e. root over(a^2+b^2)
