The magnetic field magnitude for a straight current carrying wire depends on,

I, is the current flowing through the wire
r, is the distance of the wire from the test point
dl, is the small current carrying element.
From equation (1), it is observed that,
1. magnitude of magnetic field is directly proportional to I and dl.
2. magnitude of magnetic field is directly proportional to r.
As the length of the wire is increased, keeping the current in the wire constant, the corresponding size of the small current carrying element also increases. Therefore, this increase in the current carrying element causes the magnetic field around it to increase.
