To find the value of the trigonometric functions, first, convert sec function in terms of cos(θ).
Use the identity sec(θ)=1cos(θ)
We have
θ=225=180+45
cos(225)=cos(180+45){cos(180+θ)=cos(θ)}
=cos(45)
=12
Now sec(θ)=1cos(θ)
sec(225)=1cos(225)
=112
=2
=1.4142
