All you have to do is to find where the transformation sends the basic unit vectors e 1 = ( 1 0 0 ) , e 2 and e 3 to, since these will be the columns of your transformation matrix.
A normal vector to the plane x + y + z = 0 is n = ( 1 1 1 ) so e 1 will be sent to
e 1 + α n = ( 1 + α α α ) for some α. What then should α be?
