An electromagnet was connected to a 12v battery and I verified that it was working. I then touched the electromagnet to a strong regular magnet (rated to hold over 50 kg). There was a strong force between the magnets. I then disconnected the electromagnet from power, reversed the wires, and turned it back on. I expected to feel the electromagnet repel the other magnet, but instead they two magnets got stuck together again. It seems like reversing the wires had no affect on the polarity of the electromagnet.

Now, if we put two current circuits around the charged bodies then we create also magnetic fields and as a consequence two electromagnetic fields. Electrons' Motion in an electromagnet is on the order of $10^{- 4}$ m/s. That charge can be mechanically rotated in a capacitor with a million times more velocity (B produced being proportional to charge's velocity ).
Forces causing eddy currents would help to negate net magnetic field in an ordinary capacitor. However, if radially oriented, unidirectionally conducting (" chair " ) carbon nanotubes are rotated, the electrons would be relatively constrained from eddy currents.
It seems like this would allow greater magnetic field production compared to standard electromagnets.

If we have a solenoid electromagnet with an iron core, the magnetic field produced is proportional to the permeability of the iron and the current through the coil. As we increase the current through the coil and the magnetic field increases in strength, wouldn't the permeability of the iron also increase? But this would only happen until the iron core saturates and its permeability reaches a maximum. Is there any way to calculate beforehand at what current the permeability would reach its maximum?
