Given vectors A B , D C , and B C , simplify A B D C + B C
Here's what I have done:
A B D C + B C
A B + C D + B C
By Triangle law, A B + C D = A D
Plugging back in we get:
A D + B C
Again using Triangle law: A D + B C = A C
But, my online grader said it was wrong. Please help!

This statement
By Triangle law, A B + C D = A D
is not right.
We can switch the order of addition:
A B + C D + B C = A B + B C + C D = A D
It tells us first traveling form A to B, then B to C, and from C to D is equivalent to directly travel from A to D.
