First you simplify the equation.

y=3+2(x−1)
y=3+2x−2
y=1+2x
y=2x+1

This is in the general form: y=mx+b
Where
m = gradient
b = shifts the graph up and down by "b" units

So the slope or gradient is 2
A point on the graph can be found by subbing in any numbers.
So I'm going to sub x=1. Then y = 2 × 1 + 1 = 3 . Your point is (1,3)
