When a coin is tossed 'n' times or 'n' coinsat tossed once, sample space = 2 n .
Since three coin is tossed sample spacewill be 2 3 = 8.
We know that a coin has two sides. If we tossa coin the result will be either a head or a tail.
Think about tossing three coins at the sametime. we will get three results. The result may be three heads, three tails, two heads and a tail,etc.
Thus, 8 sample space for three coins is:{HHH, HHT, HTH, HTT,THH, THT, TTH, TTT}.
Of this, the possibilities ending in T are{HHT, HTT, THT, TTT}

You know that a coin has two sides, Heads (H) and Tails (T).When you toss a coin, it either lands with heads up or tails up.This means that each coin has two possiblities of landing.
When three coins are tosses, if the first coin and the third coin land tails up and the third coin lands heads up, you get thesample space "THT". Similarily, you can find other samplespaces.
Sample space for three coins: {HHH, HHT,HTH, HTT, THH, THT,TTH, TTT}.
