Car A is 40 km south of the beach and drives at 40km/hr so it takesexactly 1 hr to drive to the beach. Since it leaves at noon,it will arrive at 1:00
Car B is 50km south of the beach and drives at 100km/hr so ittakes:
50 k m × 1 h r 100 k m = 1 2 h r = 30 m i n
and since it leaves at 12:30 it will alsoarrive at 1:00
