Average rate implies the derivative of the function
dy/dx=[d/dx(2x+3)x(x+5)-d/dx(x+5)x(2x+3)]/(x+5)^2
=[2x+10-(2x+3)]/(x+5)^2
=7/(x+5)^2
Put x=7 we get
7/144
Put x=1 we get
7/36
Average rate=f'(7)=f'(1)/(7-1)
=7/144-7/36/(6)
=21/(6x144)
=-7/288
