Step 1 We know: Focus (0, 0) Eccentricity =e=2.5 Directrix = d = 2 The formula for polar equation of any conic sections, when the origin is in focus r(θ)=ed1+ecos(θθ0) Step 2 Since y=d, the equation becomes r(θ)=ed1+esinθ 
r(θ)=2.2×21+2.5sinθ 
=102=5sinθ
