The initial force that drives the arrow horizontally is provided by the string, which when released returns to its initial position. It is a contact force since there is contact between the surfaces and it is created by muscle contraction.
Muscular effort is necessary for every action of the body.
Muscular effort is required for many actions, including walking, lifting, getting up from a chair, crossing one's legs, and others.
The arrow is affected by gravity's downward force and air resistance, which causes the arrow to sink to the ground over time.
The arrow begins to go straight ahead but is progressively drawn lower by gravity until it ultimately drops and comes to rest.
Additionally, the air resistance causes a slowdown.
