Side a of triangle is twice as long as side b a=2b
side c is 1cm longer than sidea c=a+1
The perimeter of a triangle is76cm a+b+c=76 (1)
substitute a=2b & c=a+1 to equation (1)
2b+b+a+1=76 (2)
substitute a=2b to equation (2)
2b+b+2b+1=76
simplify 5b+1=76
subtract 1 from both side
5b=75
divide both side by 5
b=15cm
side a=2b=2*15=30 cm
side c=a+1=30+1= 31 cm
if add them up again, you will get the perimeter= 76cm (30+31+15=76cm)
