Resistivity is a measure of the resistance of a given size of a specific material to electrical conduction.
The expression for resistivity of material is,
ρ = R A L (I)
[A=area, L=length, R=resistance]
From equation (I) resistivity depends on length and area of cross section of material.
The resistivity of a material depends on its nature and the temperature of the material. Resistivity is directly proportional to area of cross section and inversely proportional to length of the material.
Hence resistivity is completely depends on the properties of material.
