The rote of change of f(x) at x=3 is given by

which is 0/0 form
Now we apply the L-Hopital rule
Since d d x ( x log x ) = [ 2 x log x 1 ] log x
Then let y = x log x
taking both side log
log y = log ( x log x ) = log x log x log y = log 2 x
on differentiate with respect to x
1 y d y d x = 2 log x 1 x y = 2 y log x x y = 2 x log x x 1 log x y = 2 log x [ x log x 1 ]
