This function is not defined at 0, but you can compute the limit lim x 0 e x x 1 = e lim x 0 x x 1 . It happens that
lim x 0 x x = lim x 0 e x log x = e lim x 0 x log x
and that
lim x 0 x log x = lim x 0 log x 1 x = lim x 0 1 x 1 x 2 = lim x 0 x = 0.
So, lim x 0 x x = e 0 = 1 and therefore lim x 0 e x x 1 = e 0 = 1.
