Take,secx+tanx=tsecxtanx+sec2xdx=dt.
Add the aforementioned values to the equation(1) to find :
secxdx=dttsecxdx=ln|t|+Cdtt=ln|t|secxdx=ln|secx+tanx|+CPutt=secx+tanx
Thus, the required integral is secxdx=ln|secx+tanx|+C where C is a constant of integration .
