Let the constant of variation be k then:
r = k w - 1
Given condition 3 50 = k 3 - 1 3 50 = k 2
Multiply both sides by 2
k = 6 50 = 3 25
Thus the equation is r = 3 25 × 1 w - 1 r = 3 25 ( w - 1 )
