FOIL is short for First, Outside, Inside, Last
It helps you to remember all the combinations when multiplying two bracketed terms each containing two expressions.
For your example, we have
First : (3x3x)=9x2
Outside: (3x*-5)=-15x
Inside: (-4*3x)=-12x
Last: (-4*-5)=20
add these together to get the answer:
(3x-4)(3x-5)
(=F+O+I+L)
=9x215x12x+20
=9x227x+20
