Given $4{x}^{2}+x-3=0$
We know solution of quadratic equation $a{x}^{2}+bx+c=0$ is
$x=\frac{-b±\sqrt{{b}^{2}-4ac}}{2a}$
now a=4, b=1, c=-3
and $x=\frac{-1±\sqrt{1-4\cdot 4\cdot \left(-3\right)}}{2\cdot 4}\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}=\frac{-1±7}{8}\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}x=-1,\phantom{\rule{1em}{0ex}}x=\frac{3}{4}$
