Compare the given function with ax2+bx+c to get the value of a,b,c and then find the vertex
1) y=x2+4x
Comparing with ax2+bx+c
a=1
b=4
c=0
xvertex=(12)×(ba)
=(12)×(41)
To find yvertex substitute x=2 in equation (1)
y=(2)2+4(2)
=48
=4
Vertex (2, 4)
Hence axis of symmetry x=2
