Since the value of g is inversely proportional to radius, its value decreases as altitude increases.
mathematically;
g′=g(1+hR)−2

in case of very small height relative to earth's radius, then we use binomial expansion in above formula,
g′=g(1−2hR)

Therefore we can say, as altitude increases, gravity becomes weaker.
