Distance travelled in the nth second Sn= u+ 1/2*a* (2n-1)
Sn= u+ 1/2*a* (2n-1)
44.1 = 0 + 0.5*9.8*(2t-1)
44.1 = 4.9 (2t-1)
44.1 = 9.8t -4.9
44.1+4.9 = 9.8t
9.8t = 49
t =49/9.8 =5 sec.

S=ut + 1/2*a*t^2
height of the cliff is = (0*5)+(0.5*9.8*5*5)
=0+0.5*9.8*5*5
=122.5 m.
So it travelled 44.1m.
