Translational motion:
A body can move in many different ways over time, including translational motion, rotational motion, periodic motion, and non-periodic motion.A motion in which all the points of a body moving uniformly in a single direction is called translational motion. When an object undergoes translational motion, there is no change in its orientation. In this motion, all the particles of the object move parallel to each other. There are two types of translational motion, namely, rectilinear motion and curvilinear motion. When the object moves in a straight line, it is a rectilinear motion, and when it moves along a curved path, it is a curvilinear motion. A body in translational motion
Examples of translational motion:
A car moving on a straight path: It is an example of rectilinear translational motion.Athletes running on a circular race track: It is an example of curvilinear translational motion.
