Use the formula for the circumference of a circle: C=2πr
Let r be the radius of the original circle so that: 2πr=48π

r=48π/2π

 r=24cm

For the new circle, the radius is multiplied by 9 so its circumference is:

2π(249)=432πcm

Note: You can also multiply the circumference of the original circle by 9 since the circumference is directly proportional to the radius.
