Well I hate answering my own question but here goes-
V 2 = u 2 + 2 a s V 2 = 1000
Assuming mass 1kg,
Kinetic energy = 1 / 2 × m a s s × v e l o c i t y 2 500 j o u l e s 1200 c a l
Hence increase in temp = 0.12 ○ Celcius
