Let the speed of car = x miles/hour
Then speed of plane =3x miles/hour
Total time taken in travell = time taken by car + time talen by plane
7 = 170 x + 750 3 x 7 = 170 × 3 + 750 3 x 7 × 3 x = 1260 x = 1260 7 × 3 = 60
