Find the slope of the line joining the given points and then find the negative reciprocal of that to find the perpendicular slope.
(Flip it upside down and change the sign.)
m = y 2 - y 1 x 2 - x 1 for ( - 3 , 19 ) and ( 14 , 12 )
m = 19 - 12 - 3 - ( - 14 ) = 7 11
Slope perpendicular to this is - 11 7
