The given quadratic inequality is same as x 2 + x - 6 > 0 . Factorise it (x+3)(x-2)>0
It has two solutions, x+3>0 and x-2>0, Or x+3<0 and x-2<0.
In the first case x>-3 and x>2 which means x>2. If x>2, it would automatically mean x>-3
Like wise in the second case, it would mean x<-3. On the number line the inequality would be represented by x>2 and x<-3
