Having trouble with simple integral sorry I'm having some trouble evaluating this integral (dv)/(dt) = -k(v-g t)^2-g where g and k are constants I'm assuming you just separate and integrate but I cannot seem to get it to work out.

Let y = v g t. Then d v d t = d y d t + g. So our differential equation can be rewritten as
d y d t + g = k y 2 g ,
and then as
d y d t = ( k y 2 + 2 g ) .
This is a separable differential equation. We are solving
d y k y 2 + 2 g = d t .
Integrate. We will get an arctan on the left.
