Trigonometric equation with generalized solution
The equation
cot A tan A = 2
Find the generalized form of A
I got the answer and the answer came
tan A = ( 2 1 / 2 ) 1  and  2 1 / 2 1
Now how to write the generalized form j here

cot A tan A = cos 2 A sin 2 A sin A cos A = 2 cot 2 A
2 cot 2 A = 2 tan 2 A = 1 2 A = n π + π 4
where n is any integer

I guess it would be arctan ( 2 1 / 2 1 ) + k π and arctan ( 2 1 / 2 1 ) + k π, k Z . But it becomes simpler if you calculate tan 2 A first.
