When we collect information for certain projects there is no guarantee that we will get the response from the required sample. Some people respond to our questionnaire and some are not. Because of the non responders we get different kind of biasedness in our result.
This is 2. undercoverage bias
Undercoverage bias occurs when the covered sample has not responded. ie some part of the population not responded to the sample survey. In the given example, the number of people who are eligible to vote is 1500. It is important to vote because it a civil duty, without proper voting one cannot select the proper decision to the city. since 80% of the voters did not respond properly, it is undercoverage bias.
reason to reject other option:
1. Nonresponse bias: In this method, people will not respond because they are not eligible to respond because of some factors. Here all 1500 are eligible to vote but 80% are not responding. Hence this is not a nonresponse bias.
Option 3 and 4 the related to response bias. Since the majority is not responded hence this example is not related to the response bias. hence we decline both options 3 and 4.
