Let G be the gravitational constant, M and m be the masses, then it is given that
F g = 36   N
Gravitational force is given as,
F g = G M m R 2 R 2 R F g = G M m R 2 = G M m ( 2 R ) 2 = F g 4 = 36 4 = 9   N
The gravitational force will now become 9N.
