Slope of a line joining ( x 1 , y 1 ) and ( x 2 , y 2 ) is given by
y 2 - y 1 x 2 - x 1
Hence, slope the line passing through (−24,19) and (−8,15) is 15 - 19 - 8 - ( - 24 ) = - 4 16 = - 1 4
As product of slopes two perpendicular lines is −1, slope of desired line will be - 1 - 1 4 = - 1 × - 4 = 4
