We have:

{ a 1 = 7 a n + 1 = a n - 2

Put n=1

a 2 = a 1 - 2
        = 7 - 2
        = 5

Put n=2

a 3 = a 2 - 2
        = 5 - 2
        = 3

Put n=3

a 4 = a 3 - 2
        = 3 - 2
        = 1

Put n=4

a 5 = a 4 - 2
        = 1
        = - 1

Hence, the first five terms of the sequence are:

{ a 1 , a 2 , a 3 , a 4 , a 5 } = { 7 , 5 , 3 , 1 , - 1 }
