The total earnings for one hour is equal to the sum of all the salaries.
total earnings = all the salaries added together
There are three groups of different leveled salaries. For each group, use this formula:
$\text{how many are in the group}×\text{how much they make}$
There are 8 that make $8 an hour so: $8×8=64$ There are 3 that make$10 an hour:
$3×10=30$
And there is 1 that makes $12 an hour: $1×12=12$ Each of the groups make 64, 30, and 12 dollars respectively. Remember, the total earnings is all the salaries added together. So add these three numbers together: total earnings=64+30+12=106 The whole group made$106 in one hour.
