The total earnings for one hour is equal to the sum of all the salaries.
total earnings = all the salaries added together
There are three groups of different leveled salaries. For each group, use this formula:
how many are in the group × how much they make
There are 8 that make $8 an hour so:
8 × 8 = $ 64
There are 3 that make $10 an hour:
3 × 10 = $ 30
And there is 1 that makes $12 an hour:
1 × 12 = $ 12
Each of the groups make 64, 30, and 12 dollars respectively. Remember, the total earnings is all the salaries added together. So add these three numbers together:
total earnings=64+30+12=106
The whole group made $106 in one hour.
