Just like (x,y) represents a point on a plane i.e. in 2-dimension,
(x,y,z) represents a point in 3-dimension.
( x 2 - x 1 ) 2 + ( y 2 - y 1 ) 2 + ( z 2 - z 1 ) 2
Therefore, distance between (-6,3,1) and (4,4,2) is
( 6 - ( - 6 ) ) 2 + ( 4 - 3 ) 2 + ( 2 - 1 ) 2
( 6 + 6 ) 2 + ( 4 - 3 ) 2 + ( 2 - 1 ) 2
12 2 + 1 2 + 1 2 = 144 + 1 + 1 = 146 = 12.083
