If the degree of the polynomial is 2. We use the quadratic formula and find the zeros.
Once we know the zeros, we know the factors because of the following property :
If x=a is a zero of f(x), then (x-a) is a factor of f(x)
If the degree of polynomial is more than 2.
Then we have to guess a zero by trial and error.
Then use synthetic division to find the other factor.
If the other factor has degree 2, then use quadratic formula, otherwise guess another zero and keep going.
