The quadratic function is
f ( x ) = x 2 4 x + 8
General form: f ( x ) = a x 2 + b x + c
To get the vertex of quadratic
h = b 2 a k = f ( h )
Here h = ( 4 ) 2 ( 1 ) = 2 k = f ( 2 ) = ( 2 ) 2 4 ( 2 ) + 8 k = 12
vertex form = a ( x h ) 2 + k = ( x + 2 ) 2 + 12
