The difference between each term is 0.3 so we have an arithmetic sequence.

Let i be the term position count in the sequence
Let any term be ai

Then i a 1 = 4
i a 2 = 4 + 0.3
i a 3 = 4.6 = 4 + ( 2 × 0.3 )
i a 4 = 4.9 = 4 + ( 3 × 0.3 )

We observe that any term a i = 4 + [ ( i - 1 ) × 0.3 ]

Thus for i=n we have a n = 4 + 0.3 ( n - 1 )

Write as: a n = 4 + 0.3 ( n - 1 )
