it take 4 < x 13
Add 13 both side
4 + 13 < x 13 + 13 17 < x  or x > 17
Now take x 13 < 11
Add 13 both side
x 13 + 13 < 11 + 13
x < 24
x > 17  and  x < 24
So we say that
17 < x < 24
Interval ( 17 , 24 )
