Find the indefinite integral of x × ( 5 x 1 ) 19 by substitution
My try:
u = 5 x 1, so d u d x = 5, thus d x = d u 5
How to cancel out the x in front?

To complete that substitution, write u = 5 x 1 so thgat u + 1 = 5 x and hence
x = u + 1 5
That gives you
x ( 5 x 1 ) 19   d x = ( u + 1 5 ) u 19 1 5 d u = 1 25 ( u + 1 ) u 19 d u .
