n indicates the number of terms, or a term in a particular position.

n a;ways starts from 1.

So we need to use n=1,n=2,n=3 etc

a 1 = 3 ( 1 ) + 1 = 4
a 2 = 3 ( 2 ) + 1 = 7
a 3 = 3 ( 3 ) + 1 = 10

But by this term we can see that each term is 3 more than the previous :

13,16,19

For an AP, the coefficient of the n term also indicates d.
