Speed of ship in up-stream (with-stream)=(31+5)
Time to sail 296 mi (upstream) = Time to sail 200 mi
296 31 + s = 200 31 s 296 200 = 31 + s 31 s 148 ( 31 s ) = 3100 + 1005 1488 = 2485 s = 1488 248 s = 6  mph
