To be an inverse variation and equation must be or must be transformable into x y = c (or equivalently y = c x ) for some constant c
3 x - 3 y = 0
3 y = 3 x
y = ( 1 ) x
which is not and inverse variation.
(It is, in fact, a direct variation).
