If Teresa earns a 5% commission on her total sales, then she will earn 0.05x dollars for xx amount of sales. She also earns a weekly salary of $925 so her total earnings are 925+0.05xx dollars.
If Ramon earns a 3% commission on his total sales, then he will earn 0.03x dollars for xx amount of sales. He also earns a weekly salary of $1,250 so his total earnings are 1,250+0.03x dollars.
If they earn the same amount for the week, then:
925+0.05x=1,250+0.03x
925+0.02x=1,250
0.02x=325
x=16,250
Their weekly earnings will then be the same for $16,250 in sales.
