In order to find the area of DEF, you will need to know twosides and the included angle to use the formula
A = .5 sin ( a ) b c
Let's set E D = b ; F D = c ; D = a
From this we can see that b = 15 ; a = 180 arctan ( 2 ) ; c = 15 2 + 30 2 / 2
Plugging this into our formula we get A = .5 sin ( 180 arctan ( 2 ) ) 15 15 2 + 30 2 / 2 = 112.5
