The Department of Health is conducting random drug testing in a barangay in relation to their age. You are the officer assigned to conduct the test in your own barangay. You only need 10 randomly selected students to be tested. You are to give instructions to the school director on how you are going to select the 10 students by applying your knowledge of the methods of sampling. To do the task well, you need to ensure that the sample is selected randomly. From a sample of 10, you take a sample size of 2. TASKS: A. Identify the appropriate method of sampling in the given situation and explain how you are going to do it. B. Create a probability distribution that includes the list of your possible samples. C. Compute for the mean, variance, and standard deviation of the sampling distribut

A. Identify the appropriate method of sampling in the given situation and explain how you are going to do it.
B. Create a probability distribution that includes the list of your possible samples.
C. Compute for the mean, variance, and standard deviation of the sampling distribution of the means.

a) The sampling method for the given situation is Probability sampling so the type of probability sampling technique we are going to use is simple random sampling.
To conduct this type of sampling, we can use tools like random number generators on there student admission number.
In this way we select 10 samples from the whole school.
b)
we use here Binomial distribution,
The formula is given by,
b ( x , n , p ) = n C x P x ( 1 P ) n x
where b is binomial probability
x is total number of success
P chance of success
n is number of trails
A binomial distribution deals with simply the probability of a SUCCESS or FAILURE outcome in an experiment or survey. In this scenario it study the effectiveness of drug on students. Whether it's positive or negative.
c) If repeated random samples of a given size n taken from a population of values for an assessable variable,
where the population mean is μ (mu)
The population standard deviation is σ (sigma)
Then the mean of all sample means (x-bar) is population mean μ (mu).
